It all revolves around cycling, the culture, with a focus on women who cycle for transport and an educational aspect that shows how dressing for your destination is the best way to ride a bicycle. Earlier this week we wrote about connecting with our City Mayor, Lisa Helps and Council members and requested that they allocate as much money as they can from the $4.5 million budget surplus and pump it into our cycling infrastructure.
Last night we went up to the podium to express our desire for a first class cycling infrastructure.

Today we wrote a letter to our Mayor, Lisa Helps and City Councillors. We are asking them to prioritize their budget surplus of $4.5 million to build #YYJ a first in class cycling infrastructure for 2018. Cycling is Victoria’s fastest mode of transportation and our current cycling infrastructure (or lack there of it) is not set up to manage this. We believe in building vibrant communities where we see mothers and fathers cycling with their children to school. We need to see children cycling on their own to school (when did that stop?) All ages and abilities.

Looking back over the past year we have learned a whole lot about who we are as a local company and our place within our community.
